Is Big Pharma Bribing your Doctor?
A couple of weeks ago I tried to tell my doctor that I didn’t need the pain medication that he was trying to push on me. And wow did I get a reaction! It’s like they think you have gone nut!
After refusing the medication the nurse came in with a prescription for Extra Strength Ibuprofen. Hey can’t I get that stuff at Walmart without a doctor for a buck? What the heck? I guess No doesn’t mean the same thing to a doctor as it does to me.
Ever wonder why they are so insistent on sending you home with something? Well the more prescriptions they write the more money the pharmaceutical companies throw at them.
The Big Drug Companies have been bribing doctors with free trips, vacations, and lunches for years. And if the doctor’s want to make even more money then Big Pharma writes them a check for $20,000 and calls it a consulting fee. So next time your doctor insists on writing you a prescription you may just want to ask him why he is giving you that particular medication. Either that or ask him for a part of the cut!!!
